Maybe this is something for you. I am diabetes 1 because of cancer surgery
last year. Tough thing to accept and to live with...
I am testing about 8x a day, and injecting insuline. And the paper diary
did
not have enough space to register everything (only 4 records per day). As
I
am a computer freak, I started to create an electronic diary with lots of
space for diet items, daily activities, and unlimited number of records
per
day. A friend who is an application developer continued the job by adding
buttons, automatic re****ts and graphs aso. And then we decided to give the
benefit of this program (I got my reasons, want to thank Him for saving me
from cancer) to all diabetic persons in the world. So I created a special
group for people who would be so kind to help me and participate in
testing.

This group is not really to discuss on health issues, but to give your
suggestions to improve the program.
So I'm not trying to get members away from other groups, they are all
doing
a sma****ng job!
About the program, I have also a lot of enthusiastic comments of parents
on
this initiative, because kids sometimes give up and they hope it will
boost
them again.
At first, this was foreseen to be only a Dutch version (I'm Belgian, but
after some thoughts, why not also in English and French? This misery
(diabetes I mean) is a suffering that goes beyond language and borders...

In case you would be interested to participate in the test (have about 5/6
test positions open), please register and, for my records, provide me with
following information :
Name
Last name
Birth date
Gender
Diabetes type
Medication
Diet
background information about your diabetes (problems, history etc).
If there is anything you wish not to complete, that's fine for me. But I
guarantee that this information will be kept absolutely confidential. The
aim is to evaluate if the program has been constructed broad enough to be
of
use to any diabetes patient.
In case you would like to have the program, the only thing I'm asking is a
donation to sup****t my helpgroup. Only 5 euros... to keep us going,
improving the program, being helpdesk, organizing things etc. 5 euros : 2
cups of coffee, 1 pack of cigarettes...
