I know it hasn't been entirely quiet around here in my absence, and
that's GREAT! Without some drama & conflict... this place would be like
a mortuary, so to all you fiery posters, thanks for your excellent
efforts!
I'd like to share the following Meritorious Medal Citation about me
rather than answer any questions about what Bam Bam has been up to. I'll
be off line for a while while I spend quality time with my near and
dear, so nobody feel badly if I don't respond to e-mail, etc.
The Meritorious Service Medal
"Presented to Staff Sergeant David Beresford Kenna who distinguished
himself in the performance of outstanding meritorious service to the
United States as a member of The Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB)located
at Fort Riley, Kansas, from 12 June 2008 to 18 August 2008. During this
period SSG Kenna distinguished himself with his selfless, enthusiastic,
& effective assistance of his fellow injured soldiers. SSG Kenna, a
civilian attorney from Massachusetts, returned to military duty after
twelve years of retirement to deploy to Afghanistan to serve as an
infantry embedded tactical trainer combat adviser in sup****t of
Operation Enduring Freedom. After a life threatening injury, SSG Kenna
was attached to the WTB to recover. During SSG Kenna's recovery time, he
selflessly reviewed his fellow soldiers' case files, investigated the
military claims process, advised his fellow troops, and advocated on
their behalf. SSG Kenna's untiring devotion to duty, devotion to his
fellow troops, and devotion to the mission of the United States in
Afghanistan, reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Army,
and the Minutemen of the Massachusetts Army National Guard"
Uncle Sam lies. I do actually get tired!!
Thanks to all of you who serve(d) your Nation(s) & communities, whether
in uniform, whether in public service, whether in community service, or
in Allah's service.
God Bless You All, and in the true spirit of GI Joe, "Ask not what your
community can do for you, but what YOU can do for your community". The
Sandbox is OUR community and I salute everyone who takes the time to
type messages here, whether sharing information, whether making jokes,
or whether being good company for each other.
SSG David B "Bam Bam" Kenna, Esq.
