I'm new to this group and I'm trying to understand what people in the
educational establishment feel about boys only and girls only schools.
Having recently witnessed a modern classroom setting I was surprised to
see what the children were allowed to wear and how they acted. Given
recollections of my own youth I think I would have been overwhelmed
sitting next to some of the girls in that particular classroom.
I understand that there is some emerging work suggesting benefits
especially for "at-risk" boys. Grade 4 boys did much better when
segregated from girls while girls performance was little changed.
