a question for David and/or others

by "John & / or Maryln" <schnahz@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 6, 2004 at 11:05 PM

Hi David,
The LEO on-line dictionary translates "Er erhielt eine
Auszeichnung fuer seine Tapferkeit." as "He recieved a mention for his
bravery." To my mind this in not American English. We would say something
like: " He was cited for his bravery." Do people in England use the LEO
translation or are they just in error?
