So .. ever since he's been in the womb, I would read to him. We read
to him whenever. He likes opening books and turning the pages. He
seems to enjoy opening and closing and turning pages more than opening
and looking at pictures.
About 3 weeks ago when he was 11 months, I would sit on the floor and
hold a book and he would come crawling over and grab onto my ****rt
while turning himiself around in my lap so i could read to him. it's
the cutest things i've ever seen. we did that for about 2 weeks or so
then the weather got nicer, spring was here, it got warmer and we
started to take him outside so he could walk around (with us holding
him of couse , not quite ready to walk on his own yet) and so he could
also push his walker-wagon thing around. but we also were taking him
out a little before this, though the weather just wasn't consistently
nice enough.
after a couple days he stopped showing interest in books. i tried
sitting down , holding a book, coaxing him.. nada. he doesn't even
bother pulling all his books out of the book shelf to rummage through
them.
now he just wants to push his walker and go outside and stand up on
his own while taking steps. which i am proud of and happy to see!
so is he just more interested in moving about and dosnt want to sit
and look through books because it's probably more fun to him
especially now that he's letting go of his walker and standing on his
own for like 10 seconds?
i'm not worried at all. i'm just curious if this is just a phase kinda
thing? is he just perhaps more into activities than sitting still to
read?
