The Trollgars and New York Child Protective Services

by sloan@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Sam Sloan) Jul 11, 2008 at 09:55 AM

Go back and read carefully what Paul Truong actually wrote:

"A thorough investigation was done by child protective services and
they concluded that there was absolutely no truth to the allegations.
In fact, the children clearly stated numerous times to the law
guardian and the representatives from child protective services that
they were told to say this and they would get lots of toys if they do.
They were around 6 and 7 years old at that time. Even the children’s
teacher testified in court that there was absolutely no truth to this
because the children told her what actually happened. Not a single
person corroborated with the person who made these false charges.

"ALL CHARGES WERE DROPPED."

Child Protective Services or CPS does not get involved in normal child
custody cases. They only get involved in serious cases of child abuse.
Elsewhere in the same thread, it becomes clear that the person about
whom it is claimed "that they were told to say this and they would get
lots of toys if they do" was not the father but was a social worker
from ACS and it was the two children who originally said this, not the
father who had not seen them in a long time. So, in other words it was
a government worker who was involved, based on what the children told
her, which is why Truong emphasizes the young ages of the children.
Then, Truong says in bold "ALL CHARGES WERE DROPPED". That term is
used in connection with criminal charges, not merely normal civil
child custody cases. This makes it obvious that the Trollgars beat the
charges. This also explains why the attorneys for the USCF would be
gravely concerned about them being involved in scholastic competition,
as Susan Polgar complains, and why they are investigating and trying
to find out what really happened.
