So maybe he needs a afternoon siesta? When he says he is tired let him
have a half hour to hour rest. See what happens. Who knows once he has
that rest he may be able to sleep at night. He may be too tired to
sleep (I know that Ive been there too) Try to keep the bed time and
wake up time fairly structured.If he is up early fine but he needs to
be up at the latest by-------.By letting him sleep in his internal
clock is getting a little messed up. Having a nap might help
rejuvenate.(It also gives him a less stressfull time to
"practice"falling asleep. On the other hand have you and your son
talked to a Doctor about the sleep concerns because he may also not be
sleeping well. Getting up for the washroom etc.
