Sorry I saw your post late. Miralax works well. Our son didn't go
because it would hurt. It hurt because he wouldn't go. It was a catch
22. Changing his diet didn't work. It wasn't until we tried Miralax
(as it just became available over the counter) did it kick in within 3
days. Now he goes all the time because it no longer hurts. The good
thing about Miralax is that it dissolves in liquids and has no taste
or odor, so our son takes it without any issue.
I am not associated with this product, but I am sick of seeing some
idiots treat a child's constipation issue as the same as an adult. The
stupid "just give them fiber" line just makes things worse!
